Talent Acquisition Specialist - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas

    This position is responsible for the recruitment and selection of qualified applicants for salaried and hourly positions for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas (BCBSKS). The incumbent will help source, identify, screen, recommend job specific assessments, and hire internal/external individuals for various roles in the company.

    This Talent Acquisition Specialist position coordinates outside recruitment activities, explains the company’s benefit program to potential employees, helps coordinate the pre-employment drug screening process, helps coordinate the temporary workforce of the company, and assists with training on interview and selection with the company’s workforce & leadership development department as needed.


    Essential Functions

    Responsible for recruiting, screening, employment test administration, applicant referrals, and outside recruitment activities.

    Input into overall hiring strategy of the organization to ensure our teams consist of a diverse set of qualified individuals.

    Implement sourcing strategies to build pipelines of potential applicants, such as employer branding initiatives.

    Create and implement end-to-end candidate hiring processes to ensure a positive experience.

    Qualifications

    Education:

    A college degree emphasizing human resource management, psychology, industrial psychology, communications, business administration or related degree OR five years of experience in human resources and/or talent acquisition related experience is required.

    Experience:
    Required:
    With a degree, a minimum of three years of experience in human resources or talent acquisition.

    Without a degree, five years of experience in human resources and/or talent acquisition related experience.

    Experience working with supervisory and management level employees, with the ability to counsel supervisors and managers on interviewing and selection matters.

    Requires experience working with personal computers and applicant tracking systems in order to generate and manipulate new and existing (i.e. Workday) reports and other documentation.

    Experience in reviewing resumes/applications and interviewing/screening applicants.
