Talent Acquisition Manager - K-State

    The Talent Acquisition Manager leads and oversees the administration of day-to-day operations of the Talent team and provides direction and communication to support departments and colleges at K-State. Responsibilities include supervision and development of the talent acquisition team, managing various talent projects, administering K-State’s applicant tracking system, and providing oversight of the full recruitment lifecycle at K-State. The manager will be an active leader and collaborate with partners across the University to advance diversity, inclusion, and belonging as K-State recruits a more diverse and highly talented workforce.
    The Talent Acquisition Manager:
    • Develops and maintains talent policies, initiatives, processes, and procedures that align with university goals and the specific needs of the university as it relates to talent acquisition.
    • Serves as a senior talent acquisition strategic partner to executive and academic units.
    • Establishes talent metrics to monitor goals that aid in the development and maintenance of an overall university talent management strategy.
    • Recommends and implements process and workflow improvements.
    • Provides strong customer service to internal and external stakeholders.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • A bachelor’s degree (This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by the hiring manager.)
    • Three to five years of relevant experience which includes supervising and leading others.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Experience in recruitment for multiple positions in various disciplines and locations.
    • Experience managing full recruitment life cycle.
    • Experience utilizing social media to recruit highly qualified, and diverse talent.
    • Experience using applicant tracking software.
    • Ability to initiate and maintain professional relationships with diverse groups and individuals.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally, to work collaboratively, and to garner the trust of others.
    • Ability to handle confidential information.
    • Ability to promote the institution’s mission and vision.
    • Possess knowledge of employment-related laws and recruitment best practices.
    • PHR/SPHR Certification.
    • SHRM-CP/SCP Certification.
    • Experience in higher education.
    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration or related field.
    Other Requirements:
    • All K-State employees must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 (unless granted an exemption by the university) by December 8, 2021 or their first day of employment, whichever is later, pursuant to the federal executive order for federal contractors.     Anticipated Hiring Salary Range:
    Hiring range: $68,000-$72,000
