Recruiter/HR Generalist - Prairie Band Health Services

    The Recruiter/HR Generalist will have a primary focus on recruiting healthcare professionals & healthcare IT professionals and will also provide assistance with a full range of human resources (HR) duties, to include employee relations, onboarding, orientation and training; development of HR policies, programs and practices; compliance with federal and state requirements; employee performance evaluation program; salary and benefits administration. Recruiter responsibilities include supporting diversity objectives and administering the candidate selection process to recruit, screen, interview, hire, and complete any required facility credentialing or security clearance requirements necessary for employment.

    Major Duties

    • Manage the recruitment process for job openings by recruiting, interviewing, and facilitating the hiring of qualified job applicants; collaborate with hiring managers to understand skills and competencies required for each opening. 
    • Manage the recruitment process, discover new candidate resources and make recommendations to management to expand the available candidate.
    • Correspond with applicants regarding their status for employment consideration.
    • Participate in job fairs, conferences, and other networking events to support recruiting initiatives.
    • Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
    • Provide training and guidance to hiring managers on policies, process and regulatory issues.
    • Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications, administer new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
    • Assist with full range of human resources duties and responsibilities including employee relations, onboarding, orientation and training; development of HR policies, programs and practices; compliance with federal and state requirements; employee performance evaluation program; salary and benefits administration.
    • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This will include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
    • Maintain current knowledge and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance. Stay abreast of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
    • Works with executive team in providing requested information for proposals.
    • Provide excellent customer service to internal clients, candidates and employees.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, negotiation, time management and organizational skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines.

    • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

    • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

    • Strong understanding of external resources; job boards/databases, mining the web, social media, email marketing and cold calling.

    • Displays integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality, with excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
