    Position Summary:
    The KBI is accepting applications to fill a Human Resources Director. As the Human Resource Director, you will be expected to administer a human resource management program impacting the entire KBI, which includes compensation, classification, recruitment and selection, employee relations, benefits, FLSA, ADA, EEO/AA and training.

    Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
    Coordinates the mission and operations of the program.
    Ensures a high level of services and support to agency employees.
    Serves as agency liaison and spokesperson with the Department of Administration, Division of Personnel Services and other agencies and entities on matters related to human resource management.
    Serves as the Agency officially designated EEO and ADA Coordinator.
    Advises the Director, Associate Director and agency management on human resource matters to assist in planning and organizing KBI operations.
    Write human resource policies and procedures for the agency.
    Supervises KBI Human Resource staff to ensure efficient operation of the human resource program.
    Meets with employees to discuss objectives, assign responsibilities, establish priorities, review progress, evaluate performance, train, interview candidates, and recommend employment actions.
    Provides current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, benefits, training and opportunities for promotion.
    Develops and maintains an agency recruitment and retention plan.


    Minimum Qualifications
    Two years of experience in planning, directing, organizing, managing or administering personnel or human resources functions. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
    Preferred Qualifications

    Five years' experience in supervising human resources functions.
    Preferred BS in Business, Human Resources or other applicable education
    Experience working with SHaRP; employee relations/HR related investigations and benefits/retirement.
    Professional certification in Human Resources.

    Post-Offer, Pre-employment Requirements
    As a condition of employment, you will be subject to a pre-employment process to include a polygraph examination, fingerprint based records check, and comprehensive background investigation, including reference check of past and present employers. The pre-employment process will be waived for current KBI personnel who have previously completed the screening requirements
