    The Osborne Company is looking to hire an HR Manager! The Osborne Company is a Topeka based general contracting firm. Founded in 1976, we are experienced in providing Development, Design/Build, Construction Management, and traditional General Contracting services to clients throughout the Midwest. We are seeking an HR Manager to oversee full cycle recruitment and retention processes, performance management and recognition, development of company policies and procedures, and promoting a strong company culture.

    In this role, you will be: 

    • Overseeing the recruitment cycle of all employees, including screening applications, scheduling and conducting interviews, generating offers, and preparing successful candidates for onboarding 
    • Ensuring that vacancies are filled efficiently and with high quality candidates in order to support business goals; planning and managing onboarding activities 
    • Managing retention strategies including developing rewards and strategies to keep all team members invested and motivated
    • Supporting the development and implementation of a performance management system
    • Coordinating and managing annual wage reviews and overall compensation structures
    • Overseeing benefits programs including auditing of monthly premiums, contract maintenance, health benefits, and 401(k) retirement savings 
    • Organizing team events and social functions to support a vibrant company culture
    • Ensuring a safe working environment and a promoting work/life balance for overall health; championing employee wellness initiatives and programs
    • Recognizing team achievements annually, including celebrating performance and length of service anniversaries 
    • Developing policies and procedures ensuring compliance for all employees and subcontractors; processing and tracking associated paperwork including insurance
    • Overseeing compliance with required training, certifications, and continuing education
    • Researching and implementing new HR management software to keep records up to date and improve reporting abilities 
    • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety regulations including managing and tracking drug testing programs
    • Assisting with the development and management of the annual HR budget

    Experience required

    • 3+ years in a Human Resources Manager role 
    • A Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resource Management 
    • Thorough understanding of Federal & State employment regulations 
    • Experience introducing new ideas to improve and maintain employee engagement
    • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
    • A valid driver’s license with reliable transportation 
    • Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States
    • Residing in the Northeast Kansas Area: 
      • Topeka, Kansas, Kansas City, Missouri, or Wichita, Kansas
    • Pre-employment drug testing required
