    Human Resources Generalist

    The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing assistance with a wide range of human resource functions, including: providing assistance with performance appraisals and corrective actions, facilitating dispute resolution and investigation, managing regulatory and employment requirements, ensuring personnel are well informed of human resource policies and programs and coordinating the training activities in direct support of PBCR’s training initiatives. This position maintains and updates Team Member records relating to job classification and FMLP administration, coordinates Team Member relations initiatives, and ensures that PBCR records and reporting are in compliance with federal and state regulations.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Assumes responsibility for effectively completing assigned Human Resources functions.
    Counsels managers on supervisory concerns relating to performance appraisals.
    Coordinates and monitors the performance management program and makes adjustments as necessary.
    Monitors Team Member leave and Team Member FLSA classifications.
    Participates in salary surveys; reviews completed documents for accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
    Assumes responsibility for the accurate, complete, and timely preparation of records, reports, and other documents.
    Maintains and updates Team Member files relating to the Fair Labor Standards Act, FMLP, and Team Member leave. Ensures Team Member files are complete and in compliance with PBCR policies and legal regulations.
    Ensures all human resource records are maintained in accordance with established Company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
    Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective communication and coordination with team members.
    Resolves Team Member requests, complaints, and problems courteously and promptly.
    Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant concerns. Completes required reports accurately and promptly; attends meetings as required.
    Assumes responsibility for maintaining professional business relations with trade professionals, vendors, and suppliers.
    Represents PBCR at trade meetings and seminars as assigned.
    Coordinates all training classes, initially contacts all participants, and follows up with reminders within 24 hours of the scheduled class and/or training sessions.
    Monitors, evaluates and records training activities and determines each program’s effectiveness.
    Assesses the training needs of Team Members and/or departments.
    Organizes, develops or obtains new training programs if the existing ones do not meet standards.
    Facilitates Leadership and Employee Development Programs, content development, managing and administering employee Training, develop training program plans, evaluating training program effectiveness.
    Presents information using different techniques such as lecture, group discussions, role playing, or videos.
    Evaluates all training materials purchased for use in the company, and monitors training costs to ensure those costs stay within budget.
    Maintains the highest level of confidentiality.
    Stays current on developments in personnel management and related legal requirements.
    Responds to all manager or Team Member requests promptly and professionally.
    Completes special projects as assigned.
