Job Title: Human Resources Generalist

Essential Role:
This position assists in providing professional human resources support to GraceMed Health Clinic, Inc., particularly recruiting for front-line positions and benefits administration. Performs analytical and research support work in daily human resources activities as requested. Responsible for providing additional assistance, as needed, to supervisor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for benefits function: answering routine inquiries, enrollments, terminations, COBRA notifications, and reconciliation of benefits invoices.
2. Preparation of benefits for open enrollment: assists with scheduling meetings, responsible for notifying employees, updating HRIS, tracking enrollment, and monitor changes.
3. Responsible for staying up-to-date with Health Care Reform changes that affect health insurance and assist with monitoring compliance of current benefit plans.
4. Recruiting front-line staff positions: working independently with hiring managers to fill positions, posting positions, updating recruiting and EEOC databases, attending career fairs, prescreening applications, scheduling interviews and testing, submitting online investigation requests, and conducting background checks.
5. New hire processes: conducting new hire orientation, preparing new hire packets including setup in various systems, processing new hire paperwork, verifying eligibility to work, and filing personnel files.
6. Assists with review and analysis of compensation and salary surveys to ensure competitive market salary ranges for corporate positions.
7. Assists with maintenance of personnel work and health files.
8. Assists with Worker’s Compensation paperwork and OSHA log maintenance and reporting.
9. Assists with employee FMLA requests and tracking.
10. Assists with customer service functions by answering employee questions and processing employee personnel requests.
11. Assists supervisor with various research projects and/or special projects.
Qualifications:
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Registrations
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business related field
Experience:
• Minimum two years’ experience in human resources role with strong knowledge in recruitment, benefits administration, and other HR programs.
• Good working knowledge of various employment laws, including ACA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, FSLA, and OSHA regulations.
• Knowledge and experience with general personnel practices highly preferred.
• Prior HRIS experience is preferred
Technical Skills:
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, and equipment, including computers, copiers, and other standard office equipment.
• Ability to work independently, organize, monitor, and adjust work as necessary to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Demonstrated ability to identify and solve problems.
• Must possess excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully.

Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. May require work outside of usual business hours; including evenings or weekends, to handle customer service or personnel issues and attend meetings and/or community events.
