Human Resources Director, Bank Officer - VisionBank/Community National Bank
The Human Resources Director will plan, lead, direct, develop and coordinate the policies, and activities to ensure legal compliance and implementation of the bank’s mission and talent strategies.
DUTIES
•Manages and administers full cycle recruitment to support all divisions of the bank.
•Manages and administers employee benefit programs to include (but not limited to): health/dental, Life, AD&D, LTD and optional ancillary benefits.
•Administers 401(k) Plan to include new employee enrollments, required disclosure notices, and supports annual discrimination testing and preparation of employee census data.
•Manages and administers new hire orientation and onboarding.
•Manages and administers leave administration to include FMLA, military leave, maternity/paternity, and general leave of absence.
•Manages and administers progressive discipline policy/process in collaboration with managers and executive leadership.
•Manages and administers employee termination process to include conducting exit interviews, preparing benefit term package and processing terminations.
•Researches, develops and implements competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
•Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety and other laws, regulations and requirements.
•Maintains knowledge of laws, regulations, and best practices in employment law, human resources and talent management.
•Manages and administers company job descriptions.
•Manages and administers company salary and bonus administration, collaborating with managers and executive leadership.
•Drafts and implements the company’s staffing budget, and the budget for the HR department.
•Manages and administers workers compensation program.
•Conducts HR site visits periodic and as needed.
•Supports employee engagement events and activities.
•Participates in professional development and networking conferences and events.
•Supervises members of HR team.
•Serves as back-up to Payroll.

•Supports administrative duties as needed including preparing reports, packets, coordination for meetings, taking minutes, etc.
•Completes special projects and other tasks as assigned.
•Other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience required.
•8+ years of human resources management experience required, with strategic, talent management and/or business development experience highly preferred.
•PHR, SPHR or SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Strong supervisory and leadership skills
•Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
•Knowledge and experience using HRIS and applicant tracking systems
•Highly proficient in MS Office Suite and competency in proprietary software
•Ability to work independently while having a strong commitment to team goals
WORK LOCATION: Topeka or Seneca, KS preferred; open to other locations in Sabetha, Basehor, Tonganoxie, or Overland Park, KS
