LHH is representing a reputable financial services organization based in Topeka, Kansas that is seeking to add a Human Resources Business Partner to join its team! This is a full-time position with a hybrid work schedule (Mondays and Fridays can be remote). The Human Resources Business Partner will directly supervise 1 Talent Acquisition professional and play a critical role in partnering with various stakeholders to provide strategic HR support and guidance, as well as champion recruitment, training & development and employee relations efforts. Responsibilities include:
- Partner with HR and company leadership to develop and implement programs and initiatives that align with organizational goals and drive employee engagement/retention/
development - Support the recruitment and selection process to attract top talent; oversee new employee orientations and onboarding activities to ensure a smooth transition for new hires
- Implement professional training & development programs for the workforce; provide coaching and guidance to managers on performance management, employee development, succession planning and career progression.
- Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to department leaders, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
- Stay updated on employment laws and regulations, proactively advising management on compliance matters
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including solid talent acquisition, training & development, and employee relations skills
- Professional HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is highly preferred
- Experience working in the financial services industry is a plus
- People management experience is a plus, as this person will manage 1 Recruiter
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
