Head of People Development - Zinnia

    WHO YOU ARE:
    The Head of People Development will embrace the adventure of leading the development and implementation of Zinnia’s talent strategies designed to attract, develop, motivate, and retain productive, engaged team members. This will include all talent management, performance management, learning and development, and organizational effectiveness programs. Collaborating directly with the executive leadership team, this individual will work to enhance organizational capability and work towards creating a culture that encourages and enables our team members to pursue excellence.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO:
    • Build a comprehensive strategic plan and framework to address learning and development needs across the global organization
    • Lead a team encompassing team members from across the organization (including operations) that builds-out, and facilitates, a comprehensive training journey starting with the onboarding experience and never ends
    • Review and assess current learning and development programs, and supplemental internal and external resources, to build-out a catalog of offerings aligning with the organizational values and needs
    • Think strategically and translate business performance gaps into learning and development solutions
    • Own organization-wide people management philosophy and training including goal setting, performance management, succession planning, organization and talent reviews, promotion, and career pathing to ensure equitable and inclusive outcomes
    • Manage and continuously improve the organizational strategy and supporting programs to help develop and retain our future generation of leaders
    • Select and certify facilitators in effective techniques for training and organizational development to ensure a strong L&D team is in place across the organization
    • Lead a team focused on delivering training to new hires resulting in increased speed to competency & performance
    • Conduct needs analyses and works with leaders to determine emerging business trends, skill needs and corresponding training and development strategies

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in learning and development
    • 10+ years’ experience within an organizational learning or talent development function
    • 5+ years’ experience in global people leadership, with demonstrated experiences in getting work done through others and building a collaborative team
    • Ability to embrace the unknown, when challenges arise ability to confront them with a motivation to learn and the confidence to prosper
    • Capability to seek out opportunities to improve how we do things and how we think
    • Solid understanding of evidenced-based education, cognitive learning theory, instructional design, and performance consulting
    • Experience in building and integrating a suite of offerings across delivery channels (face-to-face conferences, online learning, webinars, etc.)
    • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
    • Solid program management skills
    • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral
    • Advanced skills with Excel and PowerPoint and other Microsoft products
    • Experience with Talent Development (i.e., Performance Management; Talent Assessment; Succession Planning)
    • Experience working with and training a remote workforce
    • Strong industry knowledge (Financial Services/Call Center/Technology)
    • Knowledge of Learning Roadmap and Career Path Development
