HR Generalist - Stormont Vail

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

    Independently facilitates all employee engagement and organizational-wide recognition platforms which include events such as the Employee Awards Banquet, Health Care Week, Holiday Meals, Blood Drives or any other new recognition/engagement events whether a manual or electronic process. Responsibilities will include comprehensive and thorough communication plans, roll out, proactive event planning, recommendations to department leadership, execution and follow up with best practices. Employee will know how to think critically and independent, use available resources accurately, understand the audience and purpose and be able to formulate plans with little oversight.


    Thorough understanding and facilitation of all unemployment administration functions through a third party administrator. Ensures timely processing of claims and document requests, scheduling any necessary meetings, assist department leadership with prep work for hearings, coordinates all paperwork and reconciles quarterly reimbursement statements.


    Responsible for verifying staff credentials per SVH policy to ensure compliance is maintained which includes keeping accurate notices, communicating proactively to the employee and leadership if situation arises and understanding how to effectively run reports in an electronic or manual system.


    Thorough understanding and demonstrated ability to track all department expenses in an operating budget. This may include a manual or electronic process, auditing expenses, completing journal entries, approving budgetary items, communicating to leadership any unnecessary expenses and proactively identifies when available funds cannot be reached. This requires the employee to have a good understanding of fiscal responsibility and strong business acumen.


    Assists employees in crisis or in need of ER assistance. May complete, small in scope workplace reviews if necessary. Partners with department leadership to relay information from employees in need. Able to critically think to determine a proper resolution and any action items.
