Resilience is the ability to adapt and bounce back from difficult situations. In a world where challenges and uncertainties are inevitable, building resilience is essential to living a fulfilling and successful life. This workshop aims to equip you with practical tools and strategies to develop and strengthen your resilience. We will explore resilience, identify your strengths, and areas of growth. We will also identify common obstacles to resilience, such as counterproductive self-talk and learn strategies to overcome them. We will have opportunities to discuss lessons we've learned over time and how we can build our resilience to thrive.

Communication Styles: Understanding communication styles and the power of
effectively communicating with Matt Griswold
Communication is hard. People always say they need more communication and everyone
believes that they are good communicators. We also have a growing number of methods to
communicate: phone, text, group messages on multiple platforms, meetings, zoom calls, and so much more. But the truth is, we all communicate differently, and how we communicate directly impacts whether someone can effectively interpret our messages.
We will show participants the four types of communication styles, have them discover their
type, and talk through ways to most effectively communicate with each type. Participants
will learn that it is not only important to know how they like to communicate - but why it is
more important to know how others like to communicate.

Heros and Villains: The stories we tell ourselves and how it affects our relationships at work with Matt Griswold
We all love a good story. Whether it is at the movies, on Netflix, or a book you can't put
down, humans are conditioned to enjoy the art of storytelling. But did you know that
each person has their own version of each story? Communication experts have
determined that how we interpret a story paints our perception of reality. Additionally,
our perceived experiences alter our interpretations of future experiences and
interactions with others. This oftentimes leads us to be the hero in our own story and
makes others the villains.
- Learn about the concept of Narrative Paradigms
- Discuss the nature of intent and assigning intent to the actions of others
- Identify the importance of understanding how our perceptions paint our reality
- Consider how perceived injustices can impact a team or a coworker
- Discuss ways to shift your own narrative paradigm and recognize when others have a false paradigm about you

As a Certified Mental Performance Coach and Certified Strengths Coach, Lindsay Roberts knows the effort that is required to pursue excellence, and resilience needed day-to-day. She knows the value of cultivating personal strengths and highlighting strengths in others to foster growth, learning and achievement. Through experience working with athletes, military, and corporations, her work is dedicated to cultivating potential.
Matt Griswold is an accomplished Keynote speaker that thrives on facilitating people and is energized by participation from the groups he is engaging. In his role with People Centric, he works to transform company cultures. He also enjoys helping companies define what success looks like for the individuals that work there.
