Leadership and Planning for HR 2023: This program will offer guidance for HR Professional to plan 2023 utilizing the quotes of great leaders and influences to prepare your organizations for future success and challenges. This session is one hour.
Having Hard Conversations from a Litigators Perspective: Investigating and preparing for employee discipline and termination from the viewpoint of litigation preparation and avoidance. This session is two hours.

Meet the Speakers
Tim Davis, Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete
Tim concentrates his practice on labor and employment law in the exclusive representation of management. In this capacity he is recognized by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce as a “Top Ranked Labor & Employment Lawyer”, By Ingram’s as a “Best Lawyer” and by LRI as one of the “Top Labor Lawyers in America”. He advises and defends clients on all aspects of the employer/employee relationship with special focus on labor relations/union avoidance.
Tim is also active in the human resources community as a member of the Society of Human Resource Management and former President of SHRM-KC. He has been invited to speak at the National SHRM convention on labor relations topics multiple times and also regularly speaks for state and local SHRM and other professional and business associations.
Kim Seten, Constangy, Brooks, Smith & Prophete
Kim Seten is a partner in Constangy’s Kansas City office who works with employers to address both employment and union issues in the workplace. A firm believer that the best way to minimize litigation in the workplace is to address issues before they become problems, Kim enjoys working with clients to develop proactive strategies and best practices in dealing with employees. When litigation arises, however, she represents clients before federal and state agencies as well as in the state and federal courts of Missouri and Kansas. Kim is a frequent presenter around the country on employment topics and is a contributing editor on How To Take A Case Before The NLRB.
