Position Summary:
The position (K0241346) will develop (HR) database in fields of recruitment, benefits, training, payroll, and any other human resource area not yet specified. Employee will be required to develop and interpret datasets within the above-mentioned human resources functions and be able to clearly report out on findings within these HR dataset areas.
Data reports will be required to be completed on a monthly basis and will use data visualization techniques for presentation to HR staff within KDHE, management, and other government/non-government/ other entities as required and directed by HR Director. Employee will be required to have a basic knowledge of "data cleansing" techniques that will be used to clean up datasets gathered above, and present data sets for presentation. Employee will need to have a basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and statistics so that employee can sufficiently learn statistical methods for dataset development.
Data collection and centralization will be an essential part of employee's position. Data collection may come from surveys, emails, excel spreadsheets, teams, recruitment entities, and other data collection areas as directed by HR Director, Deputy HR Director, and Assistant HR Director.
The database development, collection, interpretation, and presentation are inclusive but not limited to the database development requirements listed above. At any time other data development, collection, interpretation, and presentation methods, along with any other necessities for HR analytics development within KDHE may be added and/or incorporated into this role for the employee.
Employee will Support the KDHE HR team with administrative functions such as, managing the teams e-mail box and/or drop box, Back-up key card requests, Back-up I-9 processing, Back-up supply orders, Back-up Process unemployment claims, Back-up complete employment verifications while being the main calendar manager for the Human Resource Director. Employee will also serve as the KORA contact for HR, Back-up Complete requests for federal employment verifications and a main contact for Inputting performance reviews and files
Employee will support associates and managers with routine, day-to-day HR questions, needs, and inquiries, providing customer service and ensuring you guide our KDHE teams to the right resources (SME) to ensure a quality and timely solution
Note: At any time back up operations listed above and/or any other operations directed to be complete by HR leadership, may be shifted to main job duties, at the discretion of HR leadership and direction. Especially, if there is a need to shift back up/other job duties to main duties to improve the functionality of the Human Resources Department.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High School, GED
- Licensing & Certification:
- Valid Driver's License - Incumbent is required to have and maintain a valid driver's license when operating a state vehicle, a private vehicle, or a rental vehicle for the benefit of the State.
- Minimum Qualifications:
- Three years’ experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR Management, Public Administration or related field

- Proofreading, editing, attention to detail
- Customer Service Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
