Diversity Equity Inclusion Belonging & Organizational Development - Learning & Talent Development Consultant - Stormont Vail Health

    The Organizational Development Consultant will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of the Stormont Vail Health leadership and organizational development programs. This role will partner with leaders and teams at every level across the system and HR partners to deliver best-in-class, comprehensive leadership and management development education, experiences and exposure for our leaders. Acts as a change agent by suggesting new or innovative approaches based on evidence-based leadership and team building practices that result in improvements in retention, engagement and ultimately, quality outcomes.

    What you will do

    • Develops programs and plans aligned with organizational strategies related to SVH’s I.D.E.A. initiatives. Designs and recommends organization-wide policies and programs that reinforce workplace diversity, equity and inclusion, address harassment and apply protections to minority groups. Skilled strategic tactician and communicator regarding DEI programs and plans.
    • Represents Stormont Vail as a DEI subject matter expert in professional forums.
    • Collects and analyzes statistical data using engagement and patient satisfaction surveys, EEO reports, pay equity reports and other relevant reporting metrics related to DEI efforts.
    • Architect and execute integrated management and leadership development programs and processes to drive professional growth and accountability across the organization.
    • Facilitate leadership programs and conduct individual coaching or consultations with Senior Leader participants, the Senior Organizational Development Consultant and the Manager of Transformational Leadership and Organizational Development.
    • Facilitate team building programs and conduct team building session or planning.
    • Represents Stormont Vail’s I.D.E.A. (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access) committee. Works in a collaborative effort with IDEA committee members to create strategy, consider long-term goals, benchmark successes and report out IDEA committee work to SVH senior leadership. Measures and forecasts DEI measurements tying back to SVH strategic plan. Makes sound recommendations to senior leaders regarding short and long-term strategy.
    • Champion strategies about training hiring managers on interviewing, selection, managing and retaining diverse employees and develop strategies to creating a succession pipeline of diverse talent.
    • Partner with organization-wide policy writers to ensure job description and other materials are using inclusive, non-discriminatory language.
    • Makes sound recommendations to SVH colleagues in regards to inclusive communication on internal and external website, social media, job descriptions and internal communications to ensure inclusive and culturally competent language is used.
    • Consult with business leaders to understand their leadership, management and team development needs for input and the appropriate sponsorship, engagement and alignment.
    • Be a trusted advisor / consultant to the organization by building the necessary relationships to prepare and influence the education, experiences and exposures available.
    • Track and drive measures of success/impact such as: business results, ROI, enhanced talent pipeline, retention and new behaviors clearly demonstrated.
    • Champion the development of high potentials and high performing leaders and teams; ensure creation and follow through on developmental action plans agreed to with their leaders.
    • Leverage multiple delivery methods (ILT, virtual ILT, video, online, social learning etc.) to ensure training is easy to consume and take into account limited employee capacity.

     

    Education Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree Required
    • Master's Degree Business or Education related field. Preferred

    Experience Qualifications

    • 2 years Experience in training and development. Required
    • Experience in the facilitation of leadership development programs and courses in multiple modalities. Required
    • 6 months Experience in DEI and Belonging programs. Preferred
    • Experience in a healthcare environment. Preferred
    • Executive coaching experience. Preferred
    • Strength’s Finder experience. Preferred

    Skills and Abilities

    • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theory, Instructional Strategies and Learning Assessments. (Required proficiency)
    • Demonstrated performance in leadership development strategy, design and implementation. (Required proficiency)
    • Knowledge of personality or leadership assessment methodology, interpretation, and feedback and multi-rater assessment tools. (Preferred proficiency)
