The Associate Vice President (AVP), Human Resources (HR) is responsible for supporting the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) in executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This position will directly oversee the directors of human resources operations (talent acquisition, HR business partners, employee wellness, employee relations and total rewards), HR strategy and initiatives, diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) and workforce and leadership development. This position is expected to have strong knowledge and understanding of employment law, strategic workforce planning, succession planning, employee engagement, talent strategy, change management, organizational and performance management and total rewards. This position is expected to assist in integrating and coordinating these major HR functions to attract, retain, develop, engage and promote a strong, productive, motivated workforce to develop leadership characteristics in its employees, and to have a positive employee brand throughout the state.
“This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (3 days per week onsite at our Topeka campus) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.”
