The Manager HR Projects and Programs position is an execution-minded team player who excels in cross-functional project management and enjoys working on a diverse range of HR and organizational effectiveness topics. Working closely with HR Leaders, a team of HR Business Partners, HR Operations and other teams, this role is integral to the successful coordination and implementation of HR projects, and HR programs.
This person will also be responsible for the execution of project initiatives, development and implementation of innovative solutions that lead to improvements across the HR function and the entire organization. This role requires the manager to work closely with key subject matter experts and decision-makers to evaluate business opportunities, improve process efficiencies and standardization of reporting and measures.
Essential Functions
- Recognized globally as a key decision maker in all areas relevant to talent management. Contributes to the development and monitoring of the enterprise- wide talent management strategy.
- Identifies program success criteria, designs program strategy, and establishes goals and metrics to measure performance.
- Develops change management strategy spanning across program offerings and facilitates/manages execution in the business.
- Assesses the ongoing effectiveness of large and complex programs including managing program costs and tracking key metrics.
- Refines strategies and develops new solutions to improve cost efficiency and ensure the program is delivering results that are aligned with the success criteria.
- Manages projects of high complexity that promote the effectiveness of programs.
- Evaluates major process improvement and strategic proposals from within the business and functions to determine enterprise-wide viability.
- Partner with cross-functional HR and Operations teams to execute on project priorities and timelines and act as primary HR Project Manager for these initiatives.
- Provide regular updates on project status, interdependencies, issues, and risks.
- Support continuous improvement through optimizing processes or procedural steps and reducing waste/inefficiencies to streamline requests and workload of the team.
- Project manage the rollout for a variety of projects including; talent, leadership development, employee survey and compensation and benefits.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or related field is required.
Certification in SHRM or other human resource-related organization is preferred.
Advanced project management certification or training is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of progressive HR experience in managing HR projects or initiatives that span multiple business areas/disciplines is required or 5 years experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
Experience in developing and implementing HR strategies in an organization with a diverse team.
