HRIS Analyst - Capitol Federal

    Responsible for the development, implementation, data integrity and maintenance of human resource information systems (HRIS) associated with the collection, retrieval, accessibility and usage of employee information for Human Resource and Training/Development department planning and activities. Maintains internal database files and tables and develops custom reports to meet the requirements of Human Resource management and staff. Works with Human Resources and IT personnel to evaluate HRIS software and hardware needs and may design new or modify existing HRIS to meet changing demands. Often works with Human Resource personnel to coordinate retrieval and reporting functions. The HRIS Analyst will support operational enhancements, provide project support and manage changes/requests in partnership with HR.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities

    • Support the deployment, migration, maintenance, monitoring and administration of Workday Platform, including Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Recruiting, Onboarding etc.
    • Manage security administration for all users, following Capitol Federal's internal security procedures.
    • Pro-actively prepare for annual activities and bi-annual releases supported by Workday, working with cross functional departments to implement required changes.
    • Maintain internal database files and tables and develop custom reports to meet requirements of the business.
    • Work with HR team to evaluate Workday and recommend modifications to meet business needs.
    • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders to obtain and analyze business needs and lead the planning, development, testing, and implementation of Workday.
    • Identify opportunities for automation of existing and new HR processes
    • Collaborate with external vendors as appropriate
    • Encourage and conduct regular reviews to support the implementation of Workday upgrades and patches where required, presenting outcomes and recommendations to the HR team.
    • Evaluate and implement tools to help improve and maintain data integrity.
    • Independently research and maintain current knowledge on new and emerging HRIS trends.
    • Take part in and lead projects focused on continuous improvement and development.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
    • Must comply with current applicable laws, regulations and bank policies and procedures. Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor and/or Human Resources.

    Knowledge & Skills

    • Evidence of supporting human capital projects, with a strong working knowledge of the Workday platform.
    • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, IT, Business Administration or other related field, or equivalent work experience and education.
    • Good leadership qualities with the ability to explain information to variety of stakeholders.
    • Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills.
    • Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and analysis to a diverse audience, including senior executives, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analyses.
    • Able to effectively manage own workload and work on multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Great analytical abilities with excellent attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated experience in an HR or IT administration role.
    • Highly responsive, organized and detail oriented.
    • Able to research and identify new trends in the HRIS industry and apply them where appropriate.
