Compensation Analyst - Blue Cross Blue Shield of KS

    Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas is looking to add to our HR team! We are recruiting for an experienced Compensation Analyst to assist with our total rewards strategy.

    The Compensation Analyst is responsible for supporting the organization's total rewards strategy and plays an integral role in the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of total rewards with a primary focus on compensation (base pay, incentives and special recognition).

    “This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (combination of remote and onsite) in accordance with our Telecommuting Policy. Applicants must reside in Kansas or Missouri or be willing to relocate as a condition of employment.”

    What we are looking for in applicants:

    Education
    Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as human resources management, business, psychology or a high school diploma/GED with at least 4 years of experience in a human resources generalist, HRBP, compensation or similar position.

    Experience
    Four years’ experience in compensation or in human resources with functional knowledge of compensation concepts, systems, and administration.

    Skills

    • Familiar with job evaluation methodology, preferably a point-factor job evaluation system.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Comfortable using technology and quick to learn new systems and software.
    • Experience with employee management software. Workday experience a plus.
    • Pursuit of Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation preferred.
    • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills and high attention to detail with large data sets. Ability to draw trends from data and propose creative solutions.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to effectively translate data to varying audiences.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Must be flexible in an ambiguous environment.
    • Must handle sensitive, confidential matters and situations with maturity and discretion.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
