Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer - City of Topeka
The City of Topeka is seeking an innovative, visionary, and purpose-driven individual to serve as its very first Chief Diversity Equity and Inclusion Officer.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, this person is responsible for the development, implementation and incorporation of proactive diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging strategies throughout all aspects of the City. This person will be instrumental in ensuring a work environment and community where all have an opportunity to succeed.
The ideal candidate:
Is deeply passionate about diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and is highly skilled in strategic planning, leading multi-level DEI strategies, and building partnerships.
Develops a vision consistent with our purpose to power an inclusive future for all and executing that vision.
Establishes data-driven performance indicators and progress benchmarks to ensure accountability towards equitable delivery of City programs and services.
Forges strategic alliances within the organization and in the community to further established diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience with the development, implementation, and assessment of programs, initiatives and services that support furtherance of diversity, equity and inclusion.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience which provides requisite knowledge, skills and abilities will be considered.
Must be insurable within the standards set by the City of Topeka insurance carrier. Must possess and maintain a valid Kansas driver's license.
Entry rate of pay: $114,838 – $160,773 DOQ
