    The Details:
Volunteers will arrive at United Way at 9:00am to pick up books to take to the three elementary schools. Volunteers will read a pre-k or kindergarten book to the students in the classroom. After the reading, volunteers will give books to the students to take home and one to the teacher to keep in the classroom. This is an easy and very rewarding volunteer experience as the students are very excited to hear a story and to receive a book. We are looking for 3-4 volunteers for this event.

Volunteers will receive a reminder email closer to the event.

I would like to highlight the Junior Leader Reader volunteer opportunity (it’s under events, should be under needs like the rest). Volunteers will go to multiple schools to read to pre-k and kindergartners. It’s a ton of fun and they love that they get a book to take home.
